Week 3 Journal Entry

 Week 3 Entry:

I really liked reading the talk given by Sheri Dew, her words were really impactful especially how she quoted past prophets and how she would use their words as her own. Of course, I am sure we were all touched by the quote "True Blue, Through and Through." It probably made a bunch of us wonder and think about if we are true blue, through and through. I think that for every single one of us that is going to look different and we can all apply it in a ton of different ways. For me being true blue through and through means to always stand for what is right no matter the circumstances. It means that I need to know God's doctrine like the back of my hand and have his commandment at the forefront of everything. It means this to me because as I see it and after reading Joseph's experience when he didn't run and hide but instead went up to the guy with pistol in hand and said that he was quote on quote a "Mormon," true blue means knowing what you stand for and never giving up on that always being willing to spread it no matter the consequences. I think one way I can improve on being true blue through and through is by sharing my experiences more, right we all learn from one another especially through experiences that we have had so I think if I just open my mouth more and share what God has given me, then I can help others grow and they can know what I stand for. I am looking forward to sharing these experiences with some of my friends as they know what I stand for but as I share these experiences I think they will not only know what I stand for but what I feel and I think that will help them understand me more and some of the things that I do. I also look forward to relating these videos we watched about ethics to my future place of work because I want to be one that everyone knows they can trust and that will be fair to everyone no matter the circumstances.
